Education makes the man. But man also makes education, and some of the people who’ve been doing that are sadly ill-equipped for the task. Or so I conclude from the news that a school head is resigning because kids in his high school are forming a club that seeks to help gays and heteros understand and accept one another.
Yer man is from South Carolina, the state that brought us the US Congress’s Gay-Basher-in-Chief Jesse Helms. Better out than in, I say.
